Los Angeles with the wife...

Hello all,

So here we are again... a week or so left in the USA and im sitting watching some crap on the TV alone and thinking about what it used to be like when merve was here... for thoes who dont know... my girlfriend left to go back to Turkey and has been gone for a month... sucks big time!... anyway im going to see her soon... it started me thinking about some of the stuff we did over here... like visit L.A. so thought I would post about it.

So about a month before Merve went home we went to Los Angeles for 2 days, the flight left on Friday at about 7.30, and as I was working until 4 we had to rush.... of course merve had to go shopping before hand.... pfff.... anyway.... oh washing is done..................................

...... ok back... so yea we ran for the BART (train) and then got to the airport... we waited for a little and chatted... I asked why her bag was so heavy as we were only going for 3 days and she had a big bag full.... She explained to me that she had to bring 4 pairs of shoes, 4/5 tops and dresses, full make-up bag, jacket... oh and A HAIRDRYER, AND STRAIGHTENERS...what made me laugh the most was the fact that she had all this stuff but forgot to bring her hair brush haha...

So we are called for the plane... and start waiting... and waiting... and waiting... almost everyone got on the plane before us... finally its our turn... as we are walking onto the plane Merve starts giggling... (I dont know why but she always takes fits of laughter whenever she is at an airport)... so she walks past First Class and she is practically laughing at this point... so I whats up... she says... "we waited so long we must be last class".... and sure enough we keep going back and back and before you know it we arrive at our seats at the back of the plane... the last 2 seats... at this point she is doubled over in her seat laughing... honestly i dont know why... but little amuses the innocent :D

So we get off the plane, head to the hotel and had an early night... there was many things to see and do the next few days

Los Angeles Day One...

So the next day we get up and head to get some breakfast before setting off for the day. I had arranged with a friend to take us around all the Movie Star Homes in Beverly Hills, then Rodeo Drive and Hollywood Sign, as well as the walk of fame etc etc etc.... So busy day!...

We head off, in Style... a taxi limo came to pick us up... ok it cost a few dollars extra but it was worth it, really nice. We arrive at Santa Monica Pier, take a walk around around and wait for Dmitry, our guide for the day. Once he arrived he took us to the Beverly Hill Area. Los Angeles is so big compared to San Francisco, I really did not expect it, it was amazing, the weather was great, the girlfriend was happy and here we are getting a free tour of L.A. So we started off in Rodeo Drive, went to all these shops for the rich and famous, and Merve looked beautiful... I swear she could have been a model there with what she was wearing and how she was looking.... (check out all the photos).

After getting some lunch, we were back on the road.

We spent around 2hrs going in and around Beverly Hills and seeing all the homes of the celebrities.... well the gates anyway... damn celebs like their privicy... but we had fun... it was a private tour and it was free... also Dmitry gave us loads of great information so we could hardly complain.

Later that day....

Next we moved up to the Hollywood sign... this was a perfect photo opportunity... Merve looked so beautiful (see photos)... we got some great photos and then headed to Hollywood Blv.... Here we got out went shopping for some souvenirs... got some more photos of the Walk of Fame, The Chinese Theatre, The Kodac Theater where the oscars are held, and also got a lot of photos with street people dressed up from Spongebob to Batman and Joker and the Mario Bros.... It was a lot of fun... we spent a couple of hours walking around and having fun.... then went to dinner.

Dinner was beautiful... we went to a resturant beside Johnny Deep's Viper Room, where River Phonex OD'ed... we had a great dinner and then went for a walk.... we found a quiet place around the back of some shops... it was a car park I think... but it was perfect... you could see the the entire city and it was so quiet... It was perfect... we spent some time together and talked about everything.... again... it was the perfect evening.... we then went back to the hotel and relaxed... getting ready for the next day.

Los Angeles Day Two...

The next day we decided to visit Santa Monica and chill out on Venice Beach.... We slept late and took our time... we thought that we would talk along the beach and go to Santa Monica Pier... with all the amusements... So we spent the first part of the afternoon lying on the beach and eatting ice-cream... I also went for a swim in the Pacific ocean... it was friggin freezing... and Merve kept making fun of me... so I thought it was about time she get a bit wet... so grabbing her I brought her down to the water and we played about for a while before drying off in the sun.

Later that afternoon we took a stroll to Santa Monica Pier... we ate something and then went on some rides and took some nice photos.... We then went into Santa Monica and went shopping in the area... we also seen some buskers and watched and listened to them

We found some nice resturant and had another beautiful meal... then went to a bar and had some drinks... it was a slow but realxing day... and a great way to enjoy some quality time with my Merve.

Los Angeles Day Three...

Final day in Los Angeles and we spent it in a shopping mall... We had already spent a lot of money and with the cost of Taxi's we figured it would make more sense to just take the day easy and relfect on everything we did in Los Angeles.

So we got a cup of coffee and sat down to talk... it was difficult... when we sat down and had time to think we realised that we didnt have much time left together... then Merve got upset... It was heart breaking... because when we slowed everything down... we realised that the small things like holding hands... playing with her hair... walking home from work... talking about our future together... all thoes things were going to stop... we tried not to think of it and enjoy the rest of the holiday... but im sure it was in the back of our minds all day.

We finished off everything... got the plane and headed home.

Thinking back now... I really enjoyed my time in Los Angeles... but i think I enjoyed spending my time with Merve more... it was nice to be alone with her... because in San Francisco we always had friends around us and it was difficult to get time to ourselves.... however we knew the time was coming were we would separate... and I was sure it was going to be one of the most difficult things I would have to do.....

...but thats another story....

until then... enjoy the photos.
