And once again im apologising for the lack of posts... so much for posting part 2 the same week as part 1... its almost been 2 months again lol... anyway here is the rest of the post... enjoy.
So the reminder to talk about was:

* Merve's Half Birthday
* Skied up in Lake Tahoe,
* Families visit
So lets get started...
St Paddy's Day
- It was in the middle of March, and now its the beginning of June, which means its hard to remember... but as i recall we had the day off :-) so Colly, Micheline, Merve and myself went to watch the parade down Market Street in San Francisco... (photos follow)... we then followed the parade to the civic center where drink was consumed quickly and responsibily (ish) lol..... Merve... my darling... was not feeling well so I brought her home... as she had to work that night and couldnt come out with us... once that was done Colly, Micheline and myself went to a few irish bars and met up with one of Colly's friends from Ireland... Chris i think he was called... had a few more drinks and headed to the Irish Bank.
The Irish Bank is a bar located down an alley and is accessible from 2 points in a block... so basically it was bursting with a load of Irish or wannabe Irish people drinking and having fun... we were then joined by Rica and drinking ensued... following this we met merve and headed home for a nice quiet.. drunk night lol... check out the photos...
Merve's Half Birthday
-So sometime in March I thought it would be fun to throw a Half Birthday for my girlfriend Merve. This is because we thought that she would be going home soon and almost everyone had had a birthday in San Francisco except her as her birthday is in August. So we called it her half birthday... Micheline and myself baked a cake for her... and due to it being only her half birthday we only baked half a cake... and i know what your thinking... how do you bake half a cake?? (check out the photos to see) we also invited people over and i made top-hats... now for you people not from the UK... a top hat is a bun that is made up of a chocolate base with a marshmallow stuck in the middle and a smartie (chocolate sweet like an MandM) on top... due to the lack of smarties... we did infact use MandMs...
So then the plan was for me to go and get merve from work and bring her home... at which point i would ring micheline and everyone would hid, then as we opened the door everyone would jump out and yell surprise... The plan went off without a hitch... it was a great night and the egg shell that ended up in the cake mix was cleverly disguised by sprinkles i put on the cake... HA HA... you lot didnt know that did ya lol.... anyway here are the photos
Lake Tahoe and Family Visit
-Ok so im going to combine the last two activities as it is getting late... and you all know how lazy i am already not to update this thing on a regular basis...
Well it was about 10months since I had seen my family... yea i missed them... and was looking forward to going to Lake Tahoe and skiing, as I have only done it once before and really wanted to do it again... anyway... they came over for 2 weeks and a few days... a week of which would be in Tahoe.. so lets start there...
They arrived and were greeted by merve and myself... yes indeed i introduced my family to the girlfriend and things went well :D haha... so the next day we went to Tahoe... this place is beautiful and located away high up where skiing is the main tourist attraction, that and the amazing lake where thousands of dead bodies are, no doubt thanks to Michael Corleone (Godfather) and for you lot who dont know... when the mafia moved from New York to Las Vegas in the 50's and took control of casino's as a way to money launder, they would go to Lake Tahoe to hid out from the police and other guys who wanted them dead... and due to the fact that the water is too cold for bodies to float, this is the site where alot of bad people are buried!... ok so history lesson over... we skiied...
The week went by so fast and was really enjoyable, however i missed the girlfriend and was glad to get home to see her again... The skiing was excellent and a lot of falling over was done... and a bit of sunburn occured also lol... check out the pics.
Finally after Tahoe I worked for a few days and then met up with my parents again and took them around San Francisco and shopping in Gilroy with Merve... not much to report at this time... just usual family stuff... arguing... shouting and all the rest a family do... enjoy the pics
